Taught by the FSS Director for Asia, Kevin B. Turner

“The Three-Year Program has changed my life on a cellular level. It has been the best experience of my life!”

Originated by Michael Harner and based upon his decades of research and experimentation, this course is the most advanced training in shamanism and shamanic healing offered by The Foundation for Shamanic Studies. It is widely considered as unparalleled in the world. It involves intensive extended training in progressively higher levels of very advanced shamanism, including initiations into rare and little-known practices and principles.

“I love my life now. Since I’ve been doing this work, I have a deep sense of my purpose on this planet. That is not something I thought I would ever have. My life is deep, purposeful, profound and fun!”  ~Three-Year Program Participant

In this residential program the same group of participants meets for 12 days each year (Early July 2024~2026) in Bali, with practical assignments between meetings. The program is devoted to advancing the participants’ knowledge and practice as far as possible during the three sessions. Enrollment is limited and requires a two-step application/ acceptance procedure. Sessions are held at a retreat center; on-site lodging and meals will be arranged during registration. *This program is entirely new material and does not repeat nor review 2-day course material. We recommend completing 4~7 two-day courses to know if you’re truly interested in committing to this 6-week program. *(This is shamanic practitioner development program of initiations, not a teacher-training program).

PREREQUISITES: The FSS basic Way of the Shaman course, Shamanic Extraction Healing Training, and at least two other advanced FSS two-day workshops of your choice. OR 7 online FSS courses, though we recommend more 2-day courses and some practice before committing to this 36-day program.

APPLICATION: For an application, please contact us by e-mail: info[at]shamanism-asia.com  Application is a two-step process. Each application will be evaluated individually by the Foundation Review Committee; program acceptance is limited to 33 persons. Those who successfully complete the Three-Year program are entitled to receive the Bronze Certificate of Completion, issued upon request by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Visions of the Huichol

You are invited to a special lecture in Kyoto —

Award-winning media artist and documentary filmmaker, Professor Mara Alper, will talk about Huichol Shamansim —”Visions of the Huichol”— this Sunday, January 24th from 14:00 at the Kampo Museum in Okazaki, Kyoto.

This is also an excellent opportunity to see the “yarn paintings” of the Huichol Shaman Jose Benitez Sanchez of Mexico which are on display at the museum to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Japan-Mexico ties.

The Kampo Museum is located across the street from the southeast corner of Heian Shrine in Okazaki Park. Map and directions: http://www.kampo.co.jp/english/MUSEUM-E/MUSEUM2.html 075-771-7130
